Dublin: Four young men have been arrested following a nationwide operation targeting organised crime groups. During the raids, authorities seized two vehicles, multiple weapons, and mobile phones. The suspects are currently in custody at a Garda station in the North West region.
The coordinated operation, led by Gardaí, involved raids at six residential properties across Galway, Roscommon, Westmeath, and Offaly—counties known for a significant organised crime presence.
Weapons and Vehicles Seized
Among the weapons recovered were a machete, a knife, a cattle prod, and a taser. The operation was carried out with the support of Armed Support Units, alongside Gardaí from the Galway, Westmeath, and Offaly divisions.
In a statement, Gardaí confirmed that investigations remain ongoing as part of their continued efforts to combat serious organised crime across the country.
