New Governing Council of the Malankara Jacobite Syrian Church – Ireland (2025–2027) Assumes Office
Ireland – The Governing Council of the Patriarchal Vicariate of Ireland under the Malankara Jacobite Syrian Church has officially assumed charge for the 2025–2027 term. The new council was elected during the diocesan church representatives’ meeting, presided over by His Excellency, Mor Alexandrios Thomas, Metropolitan of the Diocese of Ireland.
The elected office bearers are as follows:
Secretary: Rev. Fr. Dr. Jobimon Skaria
Vice President: Rev. Fr. Gino Joseph
Trustee: Mr. Sunil Abraham
Joint Secretary: Mr. Jaymon Markos
Joint Trustee: Mr. GBI Jacob
The council also includes the following members:
Mr. Sandeep Kallungal, Mr. Paul K. Peter, Mr. Skaria Eepan, Mr. Binson P. Shaji, Mr. Sanjo Patassery, Mr. Aji Oommen, Mr. Reji John, Mr. Sobin Mathews, Mr. Roju Varghese, and Mr. Basil Eldhose.
In addition, the clergy representatives on the council are:
Rev. Fr. Peter Varghese, Rev. Fr. Jeni Andrews, Rev. Fr. Jojo Joseph, Rev. Fr. Bijoy Karikuzhiyil, Rev. Fr. Bibin Babu, and Rev. Fr. Devin Kuryachan.
Mr. Binu B. Anthinatt, Mr. Binson V. A., and Mr. Geo Jose have been appointed as auditors for the term.
The new council is expected to lead the diocese with dedication and uphold the spiritual and administrative responsibilities of the Church throughout Ireland.
