India Register Record 93-Run T20 World Cup Win Despite Late Stumble

India cruised to their largest-ever T20 World Cup victory, defeating Namibia by 93 runs after posting a commanding total of 209. The margin underlined India’s dominance, although a late collapse denied them an even bigger score.

At one stage, with Ishan Kishan attacking Namibia’s pace bowlers and Hardik Pandya well set, totals in excess of 240 — even 300 — appeared within reach. However, Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus turned the tide with a superb spell of off-spin, claiming 4 for 20. Varying his release points cleverly on a surface offering slight grip, Erasmus triggered a dramatic slowdown that saw India lose five wickets for four runs in the final 11 deliveries, including two wickets and a run-out in the 19th over.

Despite the late hiccup, India’s overall performance reflected their superiority against the Associate side. In the upcoming match, India to face Pakistan.
