A woman in her 60s dies in a road traffic collision on N59 in Co. Mayo
Mayo: A woman in her 60s has tragically died following a road traffic collision this evening in County Mayo. The incident occurred on the N59 road between Newport and Mulranny, where the car she was a passenger in collided with another vehicle around teatime. Gardaí are currently on the scene, and the road is closed as forensic collision officers conduct an investigation. The victim’s remains have been taken to Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar for a post-mortem examination.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward. No details are available yet regarding any other injuries from the accident.
