Dublin: Student unions from five major Dublin universities have united for the first time to address the ongoing student accommodation crisis. In response to the “chronic shortage of rental accommodation” in the capital, they have launched a “digs drive” to encourage residents near campuses or along transport routes to rent rooms to students. Representatives from Trinity College Dublin, UCD, DCU, NCAD, and IADT began distributing flyers in Dublin city centre this morning and will continue the effort during evening rush hours today, with additional drives planned for Wednesday and Thursday.
