Dubai: India continued their dominance over Pakistan with a six-wicket win in their Super Four encounter of the Asia Cup 2025.
Chasing 172, Abhishek Sharma powered India’s innings with a blistering 74 off 39 balls, including five sixes and six fours, reaching his half-century in just 24 deliveries. He was well supported by Shubman Gill, who scored 47 off 28, as the openers shared a century stand that all but sealed the contest.
Pakistan, batting first, posted 171/5, with Sahibzada Farhan top-scoring on 58. Shivam Dube claimed two wickets for India.
Tensions flared during the match, Haris Rauf engaging in sledging exchanges, but India’s batters held firm. Like their earlier group-stage meeting, the teams again skipped handshakes after the match.
