Irish Indian company opens solar panel factory in Portlaoise

Portlaoise: Irish-Indian alternative energy company Airson Limited is opening a solar panel factory in Lasalle. It has been announced that the company’s product launch will take place on Friday, May 13 in Westmeath.

The company creates environmentally friendly products such as solar PV panels, inverters, energy storage systems, and EV chargers for residential, commercial, and agricultural solar applications. The company’s mission is to make homes, farms, and businesses energy self-sufficient.

In the Midlands, a solar panel manufacturing plant is being considered. The company also stated that it has examined sites in Portlaoise and Mullingar for this purpose.

Airson Company is also a part of the India Chamber of Commerce of Ireland India Council, which has been operating for 1 year. Prashant Shukla, the Chairman of the Ireland-India Council, co-founded Airson in 2023.

The Sustainable Energy Authority said solar energy will become one of the most important energy technologies to meet global sustainable energy and climate commitments.
