Longford: A student who drove his car at 100km/h because he was going to be late for driving school was caught by Longford Gardai. He was also charged with speeding and driving under the influence of drugs. He drove at 94 kmph without a trainer or an authorised driver on a road where the speed limit was 50 kmph.
Finally, the garda was shocked to hear the reason given by the driver for speeding. He became suspicious after hearing the strange response and underwent a medical examination. It was then that he realised that he was driving the vehicle after consuming cannabis (drugs).
His Skoda Octavia was pulled over by the Longford Roads Police Unit for speeding. That’s when the true reason became clearly evident. The news and the picture were released by the Garda itself through a post on social media.
