Ray McAdam Elected Lord Mayor of Dublin with Vision to ‘Celebrating Dublin’
Dublin: Fine Gael councillor Ray McAdam has been elected as the new Lord Mayor of Dublin at the city council’s annual meeting. Representing the north inner city, McAdam succeeds party colleague Emma Blain and becomes the 358th person to hold the office.
Fianna Fáil’s John Stephens was appointed Deputy Lord Mayor.
McAdam, who has served on the council since 2009, outlined “Celebrating Dublin” as the central theme of his term—highlighting the city’s people, places, and potential. He pledged to focus on tackling dereliction, promoting sport, improving accessibility, and amplifying youth voices through a dedicated platform.
