“The Earth does not belong to us. We belong to the Earth”; Happy World Environment Day!

World Environment Day encourages us all to safeguard our natural environment. What are the surprising facts? An estimated 7 million people die each year from air pollution-related causes, with the majority dying in the Asia-Pacific area. This day, which happens on June 5, promotes worldwide activism. Everything from trash to climate change is included. World Environment Day is both a global celebration and a public outreach platform.

The 2019 event was hosted by China, which currently owns half of the world’s electric automobiles and 99 percent of the world’s electric buses. “The country has demonstrated tremendous leadership in addressing domestic air pollution,” said Joyce Msuya, Acting Head of UN Environment. “It can now help spur the rest of the world to greater action.” In 1972, the United Nations was the first to create World Environment Day.

HOW TO OBSERVE WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY; Just a small step!

  1. Make a commitment to recycle
  2. Plant a tree
  3. Anyone may volunteer, and volunteering can benefit the entire community. You’ll experience the wonderful influence of getting out of the house and caring for the world, no matter how you choose to participate.
