Miller, Jansen Power South Africa to Dominant 76-Run Win Over India

South Africa delivered a commanding all-round performance to defeat India by 76 runs in their Group 1 Super Eight clash of the T20 World Cup in Ahmedabad.

After choosing to bat, South Africa recovered strongly through David Miller, who struck a fluent 63 off 35 deliveries, and Dewald Brevis, who contributed 45 off 29 balls. The pair combined for a rapid 97-run partnership for the fourth wicket, lifting their side to a competitive 187/7.

In response, India struggled to build momentum and were bowled out for 111 in 18.5 overs. Marco Jansen led the attack with an impressive 4/22, while Keshav Maharaj claimed 3/24 and Corbin Bosch chipped in with two wickets. Lungi Ngidi also played a key role, conceding just 15 runs in his four overs to maintain pressure throughout.

Shivam Dube was India’s leading scorer with 42 off 37 balls, but the co-hosts were unable to recover from early setbacks as South Africa sealed a comprehensive victory.
