Dublin City Council Warns of Fake Housing Scheme Scam

Dublin: Dublin City Council has warned the public about online scams falsely claiming to offer accommodation through the Government’s Housing for All scheme.

Fraudulent messages and social media posts are encouraging people to contact scammers via WhatsApp to access supposed “free housing benefits”. The council has urged the public not to respond, click links, or share personal information.

Anyone contacted by such scammers should report the incident to An Garda Síochána and alert their bank if they have already shared personal details.
