Yellow wind alert in Ireland in the midst of severe cold

DUBLIN: A yellow status wind alert has been declared across Ireland against the backdrop of winds of up to 100 kilometers per hour.

The weather warning will last from 11 a.m. today until 6 a.m. tomorrow.

The country has been experiencing heavy winters since yesterday. Met Iran says it will continue to be cold until next Wednesday, with snowfall likely at night.

The meteorological department said that the temperature will drop to minus degree across the country tonight. By tomorrow, the temperature will drop to -4C.

Since this morning, snow warning has been issued in County Donegal. Met Éireann expects snowfall in all counties in the coming days. Met Éireann has made it clear that White Christmas is likely to occur this year.
