Biden & wife will receive COVID-19 vaccine on Monday

WASHINGTON: President-elect Joe Biden and his wife, Jill Biden, will receive their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on Monday.

Kamala Harris, who was elected vice president and her husband, will receive the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine a week later.

The statement was made by Jen Psaki, Joe Biden’s incoming press secretary.

In addition to US Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, one of the senior officials, Nancy Pelosi, received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on Friday.

Biden would also be thanking the health workers at Delaware Medical Center for providing the vaccine. “I don’t want to get ahead of the line but I want to make sure that we demonstrate to the American people that it is safe to take,” he said.
