Apple to shake up overseas businesses management in order to focus on India
Bloomberg News reported that Apple Inc. is reorganising the management of its overseas divisions in order to focus more on India.
According to the report, this transition would result in India establishing its own sales zone at Apple.
On a recent earnings call, Apple stated that India achieved record quarterly sales and a high double-digit year-over-year increase.
According to the report, Apple is promoting Ashish Chowdhary to replace the recently retired Hugues Asseman, who was in charge of India, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, East Europe, and Africa.
The report stated that Chowdhary will now report directly to Michael Fenger, Apple’s head of product sales.
Apple did not immediately react to a request for comment on the report from Reuters.
