COVID-19 vaccine will be distributed in US from today

WASHINGTON: The COVID-19 vaccine will be available in the United States from today, with emergency approval. A 30 million dose of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine will be delivered to various states in the US.

In the early days, 2.9 million health workers and elderly will be vaccinated in the United States. The United States approved the emergency use of the COVID vaccine last Friday.

President Donald Trump called it a “medical miracle.” He also shared a video about it on Twitter. The first injection of the COVID-19 vaccine was promised to begin in the US within 24 hours.

Earlier, Britain, Canada, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia had also approved the immediate use of Pfizer vaccine. Mexico has approved the use of Pfizer vaccine. With this, the total number of countries that have approved the use of the vaccine has increased to six.

Nearly three million people have died of Coronavirus in the United States so far. Overall, the number of patients with COVID-19 has crossed 1.6 crore.
