Covid cases rise sharply in Italy after mask requirements end

ROME: After mask regulations are abolished, there is a large spike in COVID cases per day in Italy. On Tuesday, 58885 COVID cases were registered across Italy. According to the Ministry of Health, 60 people have died as a result of COVID. In Italy on Monday, 13,216 cases and 47 deaths were verified.

On Tuesday, the country’s test positivity rate increased dramatically. TPR rose to 20.1% on Tuesday, up from 15.5% the previous day.
