Creggs RFC Hosts Inclusive Summer Camp in Partnership with Ability West and Enable Ireland

Dublin: Creggs RFC, in collaboration with Ability West and Enable Ireland, successfully hosted a vibrant summer camp last week for children with additional needs. The five-day programme was filled with activities, fun, and memorable moments for both participants and staff.

The dedication of the care assistants played a central role in the camp’s success, ensuring that every child was engaged and smiling throughout the week.

Minister Joins the Fun
Minister of State Hildegarde Naughton visited on Friday, enthusiastically taking part in the obstacle course and other activities. Her friendly manner and active participation resonated strongly with the children, adding to the day’s excitement.

Special Guests at Creggs
Former Connacht Rugby star Gavin Duffy also attended the camp, entertaining those present with stories while chatting with local representatives Dr. Martin Daly and Michael Fitzmaurice—both of whom previously played for Creggs RFC.

Community Spirit on Display
The camp also featured enjoyable bike rides, which sparked endless laughter and excitement, while the Creggs Café provided a welcoming space for food and conversation.

Organisers confirmed that the overwhelming success of this year’s initiative will pave the way for more inclusive camps across the province in the coming year.
