Dense fog blankets Dublin and 12 counties with heavy rain

Dublin: 12 counties in the country, including Dublin, are likely to experience heavy rain, according to the Met. The Met has issued two separate status yellow warnings.

Since the morning, the southern coast, including Dublin, has been shrouded in dense fog. In the afternoon, heavy rain is expected.

The warning for 12 counties was issued at 6 a.m. and will remain in effect until midnight.
Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Port Leish, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, and Waterford have all received weather warnings from Met Eireann.

At 12 p.m., another yellow alert will be issued for counties Cavan, Monaghan, Clare, Galway, Leitrim, Roscommon, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, and Westmeath.

The UK Met Office has issued a similar warning for Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone, and Derry, which will come into effect at 2 p.m.
