Journalist with tears of joy as he shares Biden’s victory

CNN analyst Van Jones shed tears as he shared the news that Joe Biden will be the new US president, defeating Republican candidate Donald Trump.

The video of Van Jones wiping away tears of joy and talking very emotionally during the live broadcast has already gone viral.

Taking the lead in Pennsylvania as well, Biden secured the victory after a four-day wait. Van Jones shared the news of the victory by saying that Biden’s victory is really a relief for those who have really suffered.

“It’s easier to be a parent this morning, it’s easier to tell your kids that character matters.” Jones was unable to hold back the tears as he spoke.

“Being a good person matters and it’s easier for a lot of people. If you’re Muslim in this country you don’t have to worry about the President not wanting you here.”

Van Jones posted a video on Twitter, adding the same words.
