Melbourne pays tribute to Rahane after smashing a match winning century

Melbourne: The Melbourne Cricket Ground has paid tribute to Indian captain Ajinkya Rahane for leading the team to victory by scoring a century in the second Test against Australia.

Rahane’s name was written on the world – famous MCG Honors Board of the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The BCCI itself announced this on Twitter. This is the second time Rahane finds his name on the board.

The names of those who have scored a century and taken five wickets at the Melbourne Ground are written on the board. Rahane’s name was first added to the list in 2014. He also won the Mullagh Medal for his performance. The Johnny Mullagh Medal is awarded to the Man of the Match award in the Boxing Day Test.
