Possibility of heavy rainfall and floods; Status Yellow rainfall alert for eight counties

Met Éireann issued a Status Yellow rainfall warning for eight counties along the west coast. This includes Connacht, Donegal, Clare and Kerry.

The warning, which takes effect today (Monday) at 2 pm, will last until 2 pm on Tuesday.

Met Éireann has also warned of possible localised flooding as it forecasted heavy rain on later Monday, Monday night and Tuesday.
