What’s so special about an Irish peacock’s affinity to an Indian settler in Dublin?

Peacock is India’s national bird. So, if a peacock in Ireland pays regular visits to an Indian expatriate in Dublin, that is something to be curious about!

A peacock can regularly be seen at the house front of social worker Rupesh Kumar Panicker, a Dublin-based Indian.

On most days at 9 o’clock in the morning, the solitary peacock comes to Rupesh’s house from somewhere in the forest. Rupesh lives in a house which is located close to the Cabinteely Park and small forests.

This ‘solitary visitor’ belongs to a muster of peacocks that live somewhere close to the Cabinteely Park.
