Ireland to experience hottest day of the year on Sunday

DUBLIN: The Irish Meteorological Service predicts that Sunday (tomorrow) will be the hottest day of the year in Ireland, with temperatures reaching 26 degrees Celsius.

Today’s high temperature is expected to be 23C. As the weekend approaches, Met Éireann predicts that the weather will get warmer and sunnier as high pressure builds.

Tomorrow will be the warmest across Leinster, Munster, and east Ulster, according to Met Éireann. Sunny spells are expected in these regions, with temperatures ranging from 22 to 26 degrees.

At the same time, weather in western counties are expected to be cooler and cloudier, with temperatures of 16-21 degrees.

Met Éireann forecaster Gerry Murphy said that there will be “a good deal of dry weather [on Sunday] but perhaps a few showers in the evening”. He predicted that the weather will get cooler and more unstable during the coming week.
