Ireland has granted the highest number of jobs to Indians, and there will be no change this year either!
Dublin: The government revealed that more than 2,000 work permits were granted to Ireland in January 2023 alone. The Irish government issued 2525 work permits to foreigners in the last month alone, with Indians receiving the most. India was granted 1059 permits. Meanwhile, the Philippines received 227 permits, Brazil received 187, Pakistan received 110, China received 106, and South Africa received 101.
The majority of those who arrived last month were health workers. The same situation may continue in the coming months.
In the last year, Indians have received the most work visas to Ireland. In terms of the number of work permits issued, Indians received six times more than the neighbouring country, Brazil. The highest number of work permits were granted to Indians in the IT, health, finance, hotel and hospitality, and pharmaceutical sectors in Ireland.
Over 40,000 work permits were granted in Ireland in the year ending December 31, last year. The government has released the figure without recording the number of Indians in them. But the number of all other nationalities is specified in the calculation. But according to other government records, 26,000 work visas have been granted to Indians to Ireland in the last year alone.
