Irish Snow Enthusiasts Disappointed as Forecast Predicts Milder Weather in November
Dublin: Snow enthusiasts across Ireland may be let down by the latest forecast from the Met Office, which predicts milder and drier conditions rather than the anticipated winter storm. Instead of snow, Ireland is expected to experience warm and stable weather over the coming weeks, with high pressure from the east and northeast influencing conditions.
From November 4-10, high pressure is set to dominate, resulting in largely dry weather across the country, with occasional showers and below-average rainfall. Southerly and southeasterly winds will help keep overnight temperatures seasonally mild. The trend is expected to continue into the week of November 11–17, with sporadic showers but overall below-average rainfall.
By the third week of November (18-24), a shift is anticipated as high pressure weakens over the southern regions, allowing a westerly air flow to introduce some rainfall, particularly in Atlantic coastal counties, where precipitation may exceed average levels. Temperatures in the south and southeast are expected to drop slightly, with a chance of cold nights across the region.
