Miss Ireland Jasmine Gerhardt Wins Miss World Top Model Challenge Ahead of Grand Finale in India
Dublin – Jasmine Gerhardt, Miss Ireland, has been named one of the four global winners of the prestigious Miss World Top Model Challenge, marking a major milestone in her journey to the Miss World crown. The grand finale of Miss World 2025 is set to take place in Hyderabad, India, on May 31, where 24 finalists will compete for the coveted title.
Jasmine, originally from Blanchardstown in Dublin, currently works at a hedge fund in Dubai. A highly accomplished individual, she holds a law degree and a master’s in Human Rights and European Union Law. She aspires to work at the United Nations, driven by a deep commitment to global social justice.
A first-generation university graduate, Jasmine is also a passionate advocate for women’s and children’s rights. She actively volunteers, a non-profit organisation supporting survivors of domestic violence. “Using my legal expertise, I am fully committed to protecting women’s rights and transforming the lives of young women through education,” she said.
Her humanitarian work includes volunteering in the slums of Kolkata and in underserved communities in Zimbabwe. Jasmine hopes to inspire women globally: “I want to show women everywhere that through education, we are unstoppable and can become the transformative leaders of tomorrow.”
Rising to Global Prominence
Despite the challenges of preparing for an international pageant, Jasmine remained undeterred. She travelled twice to Kosovo and Albania to select outfits suitable for the global stage, as sourcing in Dublin proved difficult. Her determination and grace have won her admiration from fans across the globe.
At the Miss World Top Model Challenge, held at the luxurious Trident Hotel in Hyderabad, Jasmine was recognised for her poise, confidence, and runway presence. She was selected as a continental winner representing Europe, alongside three other regional winners:
- Miss India Nandini Gupta – Asia & Oceania
- Miss Namibia Selma Kamanya – Africa
- Miss Martinique Aurelie Joachim – Americas & Caribbean
These finalists were chosen from an initial pool of eight, with two finalists from each continent.
Highlights from the Fashion Gala
In addition to the Top Model Challenge, the event also presented Best Designer Attire awards, celebrating the intersection of fashion and cultural heritage. Winners included:
- Miss South Africa – Solise Jansen van Rensburg
- Miss Puerto Rico – Valeria Perez
- Miss New Zealand – Samantha Poole
- Miss Ukraine – Maria Melnichenko
Miss India Nandini Gupta stood out in designs by renowned Indian designer Archana Kochhar, who is celebrated for fusing traditional Indian craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics.
The glamorous event brought together contestants from around the globe, each representing their nation’s unique beauty, culture, and social values.
