SuperValu Opens New €37m Flagship Store in Hansfield, Creating 100 Jobs

Dublin: SuperValu has opened a new state-of-the-art store in Hansfield, Dublin 15, creating 100 new jobs as part of a €37 million investment programme across its retail network this year.

The 14,000 sq. ft. outlet serves as a testbed for SuperValu’s new contemporary store design, focused on enhancing the customer experience and introducing innovative food concepts.

Key features include an Oakberry concession serving açai bowls and smoothies, a Sushi Circle counter offering freshly made sushi, and a Chicken Hatch serving hot Irish chicken meals. The store also hosts a Healthy Living Hub, a Signature Taste Zone, an expanded Ethnic Foods range, and an energy-efficient off-licence.

Sustainability is central to the store’s design, with eco-friendly flooring, advanced refrigeration units, and low-energy LED lighting reducing environmental impact. The store will also hold autism-friendly evenings every Tuesday and support local initiatives, including TidyTowns and Erin Go Bragh GAA.

SuperValu Managing Director Luke Hanlon said the new store reflects the company’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and community. “Hansfield is an exciting new suburb, and this opening brings jobs, innovation, and great food to the heart of a growing community,” he said.
