Accident: A portion of Cork’s N28 has been closed

Due to a serious road traffic collision, a section of Cork’s N28 has been closed off tonight.

The accident happened just off the South Ring Road approaching the Rochestown Road. Reports suggests that Emergency services are still dealing with it.

The accident is expected to be occurred after 8pm on the Carrigaline side of the Bloomfield interchange.

For the quick and proper transportation of the forensic collision investigators from and to the scene, bith sides of the N28 Carrigaline to Cork City is currently closed.

Gardaí has informed that the roads might be closed until tomorrow morning and local diversions are places as an alternative. They have also said that the investigation regarding the accident is still going on.
