Dublin: Blackrock Health has announced plans to create up to 1,000 new jobs as part of a €500 million investment over the next five years. The group, which owns Blackrock Clinic, Hermitage Clinic, Galway Clinic, and Limerick Clinic, will expand its facilities by adding 187 beds, 14 new operating theatres, six cardiac cath labs, and a cancer centre. This will bring the group’s total capacity to 808 beds, 36 operating theatres, and 10 cardiac cath labs. The investment aims to meet the growing healthcare needs of Ireland’s ageing population, with Dr. Caroline Whelan, CEO of Blackrock Health, emphasising the commitment to providing world-class clinical care.
