Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been named the highest paid Indian cricketer of 2020. According to the BCCI, Bumrah is the highest paid Indian cricketer this year.
The player has earned Rs 1.38 crore this year. With this achievement, Bumrah overtook the Indian captain Virat Kohli.
Bumrah is in the A + category of the BCCI. Bumrah has played in four Tests, nine ODIs and eight Twenty20 matches so far this year. Bumrah pocketed Rs 1.38 crore excluding the annual contract fee.
The player will get Rs 15 lakh in a Test match. Six lakh for ODIs and three lakh for Twenty20s.
Kohli has earned Rs 1.29 crore this year. If he had played the Boxing Day Test, he would have overtaken Bumrah.
Kohli has led India in three Tests, nine ODIs and 10 Twenty20 Internationals this year.
All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is third on the list with Rs 96 lakh.
