COVID-19: No new deaths, 364 new cases confirmed in Ireland

In Ireland, 364 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed. No new deaths have been reported by the health department.

The total number of confirmed cases in Ireland is now 38,032. The death toll remains at 1,810.

Of the cases confirmed today;

● 42 cases have been identified as community transmission

● 74% are among people aged below 45

● 195 are men and 168 are women

● 27% are linked to outbreaks or are close contacts of confirmed cases

● 100 cases were confirmed in Dublin

● 55 in Cork, 31 in Donegal, 24 in Limerick, 23 in Galway, 17 in Clare and 14 in Sligo, 13 in Roscommon, 10 in Kerry, 8 in Tipperary, 8 in Wicklow, 7 in Kildare, 6 in Kilkenny and 6 in Offaly, 5 in Cavan, 5 in Mayo, 5 in Meath

● the remaining 27 cases across nine counties

Yesterday, 614 COVID cases were confirmed in Ireland.

The Department of Health has urged people to reduce the number of people who contact each other to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
