COVID-19: One death and new 825 further cases confirmed in Ireland

The Department of Health has confirmed 825 new cases of COVID-19 in Ireland. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 43,353.

One further death was confirmed today in Ireland. This brings the death toll from COVID to 1827.

Of today’s cases, 426 are men and 392 are women. The data shows that 78% of the cases are under 45 years of age, while the median age is 30. 

Today, 254 cases were recorded in Dublin, with 147 in Cork, 39 are in Cavan, 38 are in Donegal, 37 are in Kildare and the remaining 310 cases are spread across the 20 other counties.

There are currently 224 Covid-19 patients in hospital, of which 32 are in ICU, There have been 20 more people hospitalised in the last 24 hours.

Two days ago, more than 1000 COVID-19 cases were reported in the country. There is a slight decrease yesterday and today. But the concern has not gone away.
