Driver who arrived at Garda station to renew his license got into trouble

Cork: The driver who reached the Garda station to apply for a license renewal had to face court action!

He arrived at the Garda station in Gurranabraher, Cork, over the weekend to renew his driving license. When in doubt, Garda just checked the office documents.

It was then found that he had been disqualified for 4 years and that the car he was driving did not even have insurance / NCT.

After finding out that he had not renewed his license for four years, a case was registered against him for driving illegally for so long. He was also charged for using uninsured vehicle.

The driver was then arrested and later released with two charge sheets and a date to appear before the court. But he did not get the driving license renewal form

An Garda Síochána shared the news with the public on Twitter.

Driver came into Gurranabraher Garda Station requesting a driving licence renewal form. A check showed the driver was DQ for 4 yrs & the car they drove in had no Insurance/NCT.
