Five Indian cricketers in isolation as part of precaution, setback for India

Melbourne: The Indian cricket team suffered a setback ahead of the start of the third Test against Australia. Five Indian players have entered the Isolation following allegations that the players ate outside without following Covid protocol.

Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Shubhman Gill, Prithviraj Shah and Navdeep Saini entered the isolation. This was announced by Cricket Australia.

The scene of the stars eating at a hotel in Melbourne on New Year’s Day went viral on Twitter. These pictures were shared by a fan.

But these films caused a great deal of controversy. Some Australian media outlets reported that the stars ate from the hotel without following Covid standards. However, the BCCI denied the allegations.

But Cricket Australia said it had asked players to enter the isolation as a precaution. These players are not allowed to interact with other teammates while traveling or training.

The BCCI and Cricket Australia have ordered an inquiry into the incident.
