Gardai seize drugs worth €2.2m and €150k cash in Dublin
DUBLIN: Gardai seized around €2.2 million worth of drugs – 110kg of cannabis herb (pending analysis) – and €150,000 in cash during searches in Tallaght and Dublin city centre yesterday.
Several vehicles were stopped and searched as part of the operation. Two men in their in their 30s and 50s were arrested and are being detained at Tallaght Garda Station.
The operation was carried out by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Special Crime Task Force as part of ongoing investigations targeting people suspected of being involved in organised crime.
