HSE COVID-19 vaccine portal now open for people aged 18-24

DUBLIN: The HSE online portal for COVID-19 vaccine registration is now open for people aged 18 to 24.

The HSE has said that those who register now will be offered an AstraZeneca vaccine if it is available earlier than an mRNA jab (Moderna or Pfizer/BioNTech).

People registering for vaccines on the HSE website will require their PPS number, Eircode, mobile phone number, and email address. Those who do not have all of these documents and do not prefer to register online can call HSELive at 1850 241 850.

Those who do not wish to receive the AstraZeneca vaccination are advised not to register.

These people can also choose Johnson & Johnson, as pharmacies across the country are administering the one-dose Janssen vaccine for the 18-34 age cohort.

According to the latest vaccination figures, over 5.1 million doses have been administered in Ireland. As of Sunday, July 18, over 2.9 million people in the country have received at least one dose, with over 2.2 million receiving a second dose.
