India Today Voter Survey Predicts BJP-led NDA’s Resounding Victory in Upcoming Lok Sabha Elections
New Delhi: According to the India Today-See voter survey, the Modi government is poised to secure a commanding majority in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. Released under the banner of ‘Mood of the Nation,’ the survey, conducted from December 15 to January 28, indicates a strong performance by the BJP-led NDA alliance, projecting a win of 335 seats if elections were held today. Notably, the BJP alone is expected to secure 304 seats, surpassing the 272-seat threshold required for an absolute majority.
In contrast, the ‘India’ opposition alliance is anticipated to secure 166 seats, with other parties projected to hold 42 seats. Compared to its 2019 performance of 303 seats, the BJP is predicted to gain one additional seat this time. Conversely, the survey suggests an improvement for the Congress, with projections rising from 52 to 71 seats. Additionally, other regional parties are expected to secure a combined total of 168 seats.
The survey highlights a stagnant outlook for the BJP in southern states, including Kerala, despite heightened attention from the party.
