IPL 2021 is likely to take place from 9 April to 30 May

The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is likely to take place from 9 April to 30 May.

The 52-day tournament will be held at six different venues, India Today reports. The matches will be played in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi.

The 2020 IPL matches were played in the UAE due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although Hyderabad and Punjab have criticized the scheduling of the matches in six venues, there are indications that the BCCI has decided to limit the matches to six venues in the COVID-19 context. If the match will be played in six venues, Rajasthan, Hyderabad and Punjab will not have home matches.
