Ireland – Afghanistan ODI series in January

Dublin: Afghanistan prepares for ODI series against Ireland men’s team.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board has announced that they will host a three-match ODI series in January 2021.

The matches, to be played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on January 18, 21 and 23, will be part of the one-day Super League for the 2023 ICC World Cup qualifiers.

Ireland have already played three games in the Super League. They have lost the series against England for two-one.

Ireland, meanwhile, last played against Afghanistan in India in March this year. Ireland won the series by winning two of three matches in the Twenty20.

Ireland are also taking part in a tri-series in the UAE after mid-December.
