Keith Levene dies at 65

Keith Levene died on Friday, November 11. He was 65. Levene died at his home in Norfolk of liver cancer, leaving a long legacy of impact on British rock music.

Julian Keith Levene (July 18, 1957 – November 11, 2022) was a founding member of both The Clash and Public Image Ltd.

Levene was raised in London and was first influenced by progressive rock. After meeting fellow Clash founder Mick Jones, his style and musical preferences shifted.
