Dublin – Met Éireann has issued a weather forecast indicating unsettled conditions across Ireland through Thursday, with a persistent mix of rain and occasional sunshine expected throughout the period.
According to the national forecaster, spells of heavy rain are likely at times, particularly in the northern and western regions, accompanied by blustery and cool conditions, especially in the northwest. Daytime temperatures are forecast to range between 11°C and 17°C, while nighttime lows will hover between 6°C and 12°C.
Monday
The week will begin with cloudy skies and scattered showers. Rainfall is expected to intensify across the northern half of the country by afternoon and evening, extending into the night. Moderate southwesterly winds are anticipated, with daytime highs between 11°C and 15°C and overnight temperatures between 6°C and 10°C.
Tuesday
Tuesday is forecast to be another wet and unsettled day, with persistent rainfall, particularly in eastern areas. The rain is expected to continue into the night. Temperatures will peak between 14°C and 17°C, with overnight lows from 8°C to 12°C.
Wednesdays and Thursdays
Both Wednesday and Thursday will feature a typical mix of sunshine and showers. Rain is forecast to move in from the west on Wednesday and from the southwest on Thursday. Skies will be largely cloudy throughout, with temperatures remaining steady, reaching daytime highs of 14°C to 17°C.
