Met Éireann predicts below-average temperatures next week, with levels as low as -3C today and tomorrow

DUBLIN: Met Éireann said temperatures in Ireland are expected to be below average throughout the coming week, with overnight temperatures to drop as low as -3C on Monday and Tuesday.

Meteorologists forecast frost and icy patches on certain nights as well.

Tomorrow there will be some wintry showers in the country and the temperature will be below 8C.

The weather will be colder than average next weekend. At night, hail and snowfall are more likely.

There was a short spell of fine weather yesterday, with good dry spells and plenty of sunshine for many regions across Ireland.

It was sunny in Leinster and Munster yesterday afternoon. Light rain and drizzle moved to the northern counties yesterday afternoon and evening.
