Met Iran warns of possible storm; Yellow alert declared in three counties

Met Eireann warns of possible storm in three counties. The yellow alert was issued for the counties such as Clare, Cork and Kerry. The alert will remain in effect until 12 noon today.

South winds blowing from parts of Munster are likely to reach 55-65 kmph from the west to the northwest.

According to Met Eireann, the strongest winds could reach 90-110 kilometers per hour.

Forecaster Paul Downes said winds would be strong at times in Munster and later on the west coast. He forecast that there is a possibility of rain with winds today and that the rain may be heavier in some parts. Strong winds are expected along the coast and in the mountains, he added.

Downes says Friday would be nice cool clear weather and the weekend would be also nice. Saturday was dry but the rain is likely to return. Forecaster predicts rainy weather on Sunday as well.
