Microsoft to Create 550 New Engineering and R&D Jobs in Dublin, With 120 Roles Available Immediately

Dublin: Microsoft has announced plans to add 550 new engineering and R&D positions at its Dublin office over the next three to four years, with an initial 120 roles open for applications immediately. The new jobs will focus on advancing AI and cybersecurity innovations, including roles in software engineering, data science, and product management across teams in Azure networking, cybersecurity, and customer success engineering.

Microsoft Ireland site leader James O’Connor cited Ireland’s strong engineering and cybersecurity talent as a key factor for this investment, highlighting the country’s position as a leader in tech innovation. Supported by IDA Ireland, this expansion aligns with Ireland’s national AI strategy, aiming to foster expertise and bolster Ireland’s AI sector.

The new roles will bring Microsoft’s Irish workforce to over 6,000 employees, enhancing Dublin’s status as a hub for cutting-edge technology development.
