People who recovered from COVID-19 should use newly launched online portal to obtain their vaccine certificate

DUBLIN: The government has launched an online application facility for people to apply for the COVID Recovery Certificate. Those who have recovered from COVID-19 should use the new online portal to get a vaccine certificate rather than phoning the helpline.

Applicants must have recovered from COVID-19 in the last six months. “You can request this certificate if they have had a positive RT-PCR test more than 11 days ago and less than 6 months (180 days) ago,” the Department of Health said.

The recovery certificate, which acts as proof that a person has had COVID-19 in the last six months, is considered another form of EU digital COVID certificate. The pass will also allow the public to access indoor hospitality when it returns on Monday, July 26.

A statement from the Department of Health said: “In addition to the Digital COVID Certificate freephone number, an online Recovery Certificate portal has been launched to allow members of the public request a certificate of recovery.

“Instead of calling the Digital COVID Certificate helpline, you can now fill out an online form to request a certificate of recovery.”

The statement added that anyone with questions regarding their vaccination certificate should continue to phone the Digital COVID Certificate helpline at 1800 807 008 (or +353 76 888 5513 when calling from overseas).
