Proud moment; Natarajan with a picture of him wearing a test jersey

SYDNEY: With the third Test against Australia set to begin on January 7, Indian fans are hopeful about who will be replacing injures Umesh Yadav in the final XI.

Meanwhile, Indian pacer T Natarajan has posted a picture of himself wearing India’s Test jersey.

It was a proud moment to be able to wear a white jersey. Natarajan posted the picture on Twitter with the caption ‘Ready for the next set of challenges’.

With this, fans expect that Natarajan will play with Jaspreet Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj as the third pacer in the third Test.

A few days back, the BCCI announced the inclusion of Natarajan in the Test squad to replace Umesh Yadav, who was injured during the second Test.

Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur has been included in the Test squad to replace the injured Mohammad Shami. It remains to be seen which of Natarajan and Shardul will make the playing XI.

Natarajan, who was earlier part of the reserve squad for the tour of Australia, has been included in the squad for the tour of Australia following the injury of spinner Varun Chakravarty.

Natarajan made his ODI debut against Australia after Navdeep Saini getting injured during the ODI series. He later got a chance in the Twenty20 series as well.
