RR failed to deliver outside Sharjah

After winning two consecutive matches at the Sharjah Cricket stadium, Rajasthan Royals lost their third match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at  Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

In the 12th match of Dream 11 IPL, 2020 KKR beat RR by 37 runs.

After winning the toss, RR captain decided to field first. By batting first KKR batsmen posted a total of 176 runs with the loss of six wickets.

KKR openers Shubman Gill (47) and Sunil Narine (15) started well for the batting side. Nitish Rana (22), Andre Russell (24), Eoin Morgan (34) and Pat Cummins (12) helped KKR to host a total of 176 on the board.

KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik fell cheap for just one runs from three balls.

RR bowler Jaydev Unadkat started the wicket hunt by taking the wicket of Sunil Narine in the fourth over.

The English fast bowler Jofra Archer took two wickets for just 18 runs. Ankit Rajpoot, Tom Curran and Rahul Tewatia took one wicket each.

The chasing a total of 170 plus was not that easy in the Dubai wicket. RR was able to score only 137 runs with the loss of nine wickets.

Expect Jos Buttler (21), Rahul Tewatia (14) and Tom Curran (54) all other RR batsmen went for single digit scores.

The English allrounder Tom Curran scored 54 of 36 and remained not out. His innings consists of two fours and three sixes.

KKR bowling unit shifted the tide in their favor and won the match for the side.

KKR skipper used six bowlers and all of them managed to pick up at least a wicket. Shivam Mavi, Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Varun Chakravarthy, each picked up two wickets, where as Narine, Cummins and Yadhav picked up one wicket each.

Shivam Mavi was awarded as the Man of the Match for todays game for his wonderful performance.

“When I started bowling, it was seaming. So I thought I’ll stick to normal lines and lengths. Before the game we thought it would be flatter. So I just stuck to a length,” he said after receiving the award.
