Today marks the start of Lent

Dublin: Ash Monday is being celebrated in the churches of the Syro-Malabar Sabha in Dublin on Monday, February 20, according to the order of the Syro-Malabar Sabha.

The fifty-day fast begins on Sunday, February 19, at midnight. Monday, the first day of Great Lent according to the Syro-Malabar order, at Lucan Divine Mercy Church at 5:30 p.m., Tallaght Fetterkein Church of the Incarnation at 6 p.m., Blanchardstown Hunstown Sacred Heart Church at 6:30 p.m., Blackrock Guardian Angels Church at 7 p.m., Rialto at 7:30 p.m. Holy mass and Ash Monday are also performed at the Rosary of Fatima shrine.

Cork: The Cork Syro Malabar Church’s Ash Monday celebration will begin at 6.15 p.m. at Cork SMA Wilton Church.
