Dublin: Technology manufacturer Vertiv has announced plans to generate 200 new jobs across the north west within the next six months, with further recruitment expected as global demand continues to grow.
The expansion will significantly increase the company’s electrical switchgear production capacity at its facilities in Derry, Burnfoot and Letterkenny. Around 60% of the new roles will be based in Derry, with the remaining 40% located in Donegal.
The positions will support the manufacture of electrical switchgear used in data centres, communications networks and industrial applications. Recruitment will span manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance and support functions, with opportunities for electricians, panel wirers, mechanical fitters and general operators.
Paul Ryan, President of Vertiv in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, described the investment as a strong endorsement of the regional workforce and economy, adding that the expansion will enhance the company’s ability to deliver critical digital infrastructure at scale.
